The mainstream media isn’t reporting many very important issues – wonder why……..

Never take anything you hear right now at face value – always investigate and verify information through several reliable sources before you decide what to believe.

I hope this compilation of links and stories inspires you to investigate further and keep yourselves educated and informed on what is going on in the world right now.

Knowledge is power…..

Mortgage Bailout Plan

Be aware of the media spin on this article – most homes in Arizona, Nevada, California and Florida can not be helped by Obama’s plan because most of their loans are over $417,000 (also known as nonconforming loans). Obama’s plan will only help conforming loans and mortgages up to 105% of home value – most homes sold in California from 2003 forward are valued 20-40% below the amount of the mortgage and nonconforming, thereby do not qualify for the mortgage bailout programs. I don’t think the author of the article understands that, but I included this link because it does list the top five foreclosure states and shows the general feeling people have over this mortgage bailout – people are very angry about this bill. I find it very interesting that the bailout plan isn’t designed to help the five biggest foreclosure states – how long until the mainstream news is going to report this important fact?

Iran

Russia is working with Iran in building a nuclear power plant in Bushehr. The trial run is set for Feb 25, 2009. America believes that Iran is using the nuclear materials for bombs or missiles, rather than the power plant, and calls Iran a problem that must be addressed as soon as possible. Is this just a misunderstanding or is it spinning an excuse for another war? Be sure to read the IAEA article also. Who has the accurate information?

Afghanistan

America killed mainly civilians – haven’t heard this admission on the news yet – have you? When this news originally broke it stated that a drone had attacked ‘suspected terrorists’ – so I guess it somehow became acceptable to shoot at suspects? Then it turns out that they were mainly civilians? Something is wrong here……
